In April 2023, Moraine Park's Electrical Power Distribution (EPD) program hosted the first in-state Wisconsin Technical College System EPD skills competition. Over 70 students from four area technical colleges competed in six events: Egg Climb, Fill and Carry, Fuse Change Out, Obstacle Climb and Insulator Change, Weighted Hand Line and Bell Run.
The photo below from the event received Gold Medallion recognition from the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) in the Manipulated Photography category. The photo featured MPTC students Nick Lofy (left) and Drew Sadowski (right) competing in the Obstacle Climb and Insulator Change.
